nerd alert! JGBB got an abacus and he LOVES it!

Punk Maggie

Mags went to an all-ages punk show. "How bad can that be?" I thought - it's all ages...so much for that. Apparently, even without alcohol those kids like a mosh pit. Thankfully I was also there to enjoy the fun. It was crazy times, but Maggie enjoyed the screamo music and the anarchist literature. Watch out world.

Jules sure likes to eat - I guess you can tell that by looking at him though...

He likes to feed himself and he gnaws on anything - bread, red onions, lemon wedges. The boy's an eater and we've yet to find something he won't try. His new thing is guacamole (not spicy) - though I suppose he'd probably eat it even if it was spicy!

Julian and Grandma Ruth - he thinks she's pretty darn funny

eighth blackbird at The Toby

The Ensemble Music Society welcomed the grammy-award winning group eighth blackbird to the Indianapolis Museum of Art's Toby Theater. Mary and Carson were able to go with us and Carson (who plays violin) was able to meet the violinist Matt Albert.

Julian Being Entertained

Jules LOVES his brother and sister. This first picture is from a recent breakfast - Julian finds Patrick endlessly fascinating though admittedly Maggie is the superstar with him (Maggie says she's the equivalent to Julian of Justin Bieber to a 10 year old girl). Julian also showed off his new hat while waiting for a brunch table at Patachou. Our friend Andrea loved the hat (though Greg is threatening that it might get "lost" while I'm at work...he's not as big a fan of baby hat fashion.)

Jelly Bean's Fun Times

Our awesome neighbors are so great about letting us borrow big, plastic baby things that they aren't currently using so we don't have to buy them. Julian recently was the proud recipient of a borrowed exersaucer thing from the Krueger-Betley clan and a johnny jump up type thing from the Hagan's. He loves them both!

Maggie Gets New Glasses (cool hipster ones!)

the bumbo thing - fun times...sort of...these are the pics before all the spit-up happens...

weekend mornings this winter...

our weekend mornings are pretty relaxing these days. sometimes we hit the winter market on saturday mornings, but this weekend it was 1 degree most of the time and we didn't want to go outside too much. yes, i made our baby wear a hat inside the house because it felt cold and he didn't have a sweater on. i'm a weirdo. greg sits around in a fleece vest though so i'm not totally crazy - it's still cold in here even with our brand new furnace blasting. my routine for reading the Sunday NY Times has changed slightly, overall weekend mornings are just more exciting with JGBB. no pics of mags 'cause she's such a late sleeper!
