So...tomorrow starts my 26th week and boy is this baby belly growing! The Bean is moving a lot which is fun (though I kind of freak out when he takes a rest for too long, but every baby needs a nap I suppose). First of all, I want to say that I JUST bought this white tank top and it's totally my normal size, but it doesn't even cover my belly - I'm not amused Gap - you really need to make these longer! For more fun, tonight at the gym a complete stranger came up to me to tell me how exciting it was that I was expecting and how great it was and she had her little girl with her and it all seemed fine until she asked me when I was due - she looked SHOCKED (I think she might have even done the whole extra blinking shocked look thing)- she said, "oh, that's gonna hurt, you're huge!" She just kept saying - September?! September?! Nice. To make up for it she asked me if I was going to be a stay at home Mom and when I said no, she proceeded to tell me in detail how she'd quit her job when her daughter was born (about 10 years ago) because she "just couldn't abandon her like that." She now works part-time and her child never has to ride the bus and her life is perfect. I attempted to share my thoughts on how that sounded like a wonderful plan for her, but that everyone has a different way of doing things and in the end it all works out. I then ran away before I was even done with my workout. I think it was best for everyone - the dumbbells were just too close to me and things might have gotten out of hand! Oh, people are so funny...
